Incredible. The only word I can think of to describe our performance tonight at the 2011 Ram California Finals Rodeo. I am still buzzing with excitement.

The evening started out with Molly and I performing preshow entertainment. We sang several songs and told the crowd “if you like what you hear, come visit us after rodeo at the Barn Dance.” we then performed the National Anthem as a duet for the nearly 5,000 person crowd. We don’t get the opportunity to sing the Anthem together very often, so it was a treat for us!

We then hurried back to the Barn Dance for a last minute sound-check. After we dosed ourselves with Hot Tea and honey water, we were ready to take on the night.

And did our crowd deliver! From the second the rodeo let out, it was a big party. We fired up r band and got the line-dancing started. I looked out to see people of all ages rockin’ out to the music. We even got some of the cowboys who performed in the rodeo to come out afterwards and dance too!

We were supposed the end at 12 pm, but our new friends and fans wanted more! We played until 1 am when we finally got shut down – “that’s okay” I told the crowd, “we’ll be back tomorrow night!”

I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings (okay, later this evening) – I know we’re gonna tear it up.
