I get asked all the time – how do I become a pilot? Are you ready to take flight and become a pilot? ✈️
United Aviate Academy’s fall application window is open, and we’re looking for around 150 new students to start in early 2025. Here’s why you should apply:
✈️ After earning your PPL, you can join our Aviate pilot career development program, with a conditional job offer as a United First Officer!
🎓 Scholarship opportunities are available through partnerships with organizations like EAA, LPA, NGPA, OBAP, PAPA, Sisters of the Skies, and WAI.
🌟 We’re the only major U.S. airline that owns a flight school, and with over 40,000 applications received, interest in aviation careers is soaring!

Thanks @shannoncgolden for showing this old dog some new tricks. I logged my first PIC in a few years 😂 Got to land at my home airport KWJF and surprise Grandpa and Grandma with a quick hug. Thanks for the reminder that airplanes are so flippin’ rad.

An incredible day in Xochimilco. Walked amongst the street vendors and Pati surprised us with a boat ride on the river. Very fun, vendors come up on their boat and sell you munchies as you make your journey. A friendly family on a passing boat threw us a plate of tamales. Tim was very happy to make the acquaintance of “Peppa” the pig. @patiwrhoden @cynthiaanimas @stephanieraewood @tim92_s
